3 PhD opportunities in IP & Food Security

After Copyright & Social Responsibility, Trademarks & Copyright & Dance, New IP Lawyers are glad to announce 3 PhD opportunities in IP Law & Food Security at the TC Beirne School of Law (University of Queensland). The PhD proposals should aim at exploring the “role that IP plays in all aspects of the food chain from the provision of genetic resources, the breeding of new varieties, and on-farm practices, through to food preservation, production and storage, transportation and consumption.” What is more interesting than contributing to a topic with great social relevance? The candidates though are expected to fulfill some requirement in order to study in Australia. And if you need some inspiration on IP & Food Security issues, have a look at my page on plant variety protection. Here you can find info on IP on plant varieties, relevant laws, and some good papers. Of course, I would be happy to share any thoughts on the topic with those interested in undertaking research on IP & Food Security.

Let´s spread the word to increase our IP community!
